Our Property
Since its completion in 1950, The Judson Palmer Home has taken great pride in providing a home-like atmosphere. That mission has remained the same since our expansion. Our facility added a 20,000-square-foot addition in 2020 in order to provide our residents with larger rooms that include ensuite bathrooms and walk-in showers.
These new rooms come equipped with television and phone service, as well as a nurse-call system. The new addition also houses a new and expanded activity room, a cozy lounge with a working fireplace, a coffee bar, and a centralized nurses’ station. Our residents can now also enjoy ample outdoor space with walking paths, a new patio, flower gardens, and a gazebo.
Our Philosophy and Vision
The idea and the unique history of The Judson Palmer Home stretches back to World War I. Judson and Katharine Palmer saw a need in their community and generously stepped up to meet that need. Using money from their own estate, Mr. and Mrs. Palmer established a trust for the purpose of building a home for elderly women of Hancock County to live out their lives.
